Hyderabad: District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan on Thursday reviewed the progress of SIR-2026 activities in the Goshamahal Assembly constituency.
The Commissioner inspected Polling Station Nos. 123 and 124 at Chudi Bazaar Dargah and Polling Station No. 121 at Samagra Bhavan, Jinsi Chowrahi.
During the visit, Karnan reviewed house-to-house enumeration, digitisation of Enumeration Forms, voter mapping and polling station facilitation arrangements.
SIR-2026 review focuses on accurate voter enumeration
The DEO interacted with Booth Level Officers, supervisors and election officials. He assessed the pace and quality of field-level work. He also reviewed compliance with Election Commission of India guidelines.
Further, Karnan stressed the need for timely, accurate and error-free processing of Enumeration Forms. He directed officials to ensure comprehensive voter coverage and respond promptly to electors’ queries.
Additionally, he instructed field staff to maintain the highest standards of accuracy throughout the revision process. He said no eligible elector should be left out of the electoral rolls.
Finally, Karnan directed officials to complete all SIR-2026 activities within the prescribed timelines through close monitoring and coordinated efforts.
