Hyderabad DEO inspects Sanath Nagar polling stations for SIR-2026

Hyderabad: Hyderabad District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan inspected several Sanath Nagar polling stations to review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 and directed officials to ensure error-free preparation of electoral rolls.

Karnan visited Polling Station Nos. 139, 146, 160, 161, 162 and 164 at Shivabagh Colony and Dasaram Basti Huts in the Sanath Nagar Assembly constituency. During the inspection, he reviewed the collection of Enumeration Forms and monitored the digitisation process.

The DEO also interacted with Booth Level Officers and election officials. He instructed them to complete form collection on time, digitise records accurately, follow Election Commission of India guidelines and resolve issues without delay.

Additionally, Karnan met local residents and encouraged all eligible electors to participate in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026. He urged them to submit their duly filled Enumeration Forms to their respective Booth Level Officers.

He said active public participation would help prepare accurate and inclusive electoral rolls. The inspection formed part of the ongoing electoral roll revision exercise ahead of the publication of updated voter records.
