First batch of Hajj pilgrims departs for Saudi Arabia from Nampally Haj House

Hyderabad: Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin flagged off the first batch of Hajj pilgrims from Haj House in Nampally on Sunday night.

A total of 430 devotees departed in the first flight for Hajj 2026.

The minister attended the send-off programme and wished the passengers a safe and peaceful journey.

Azharuddin prayed for the acceptance of their prayers and rituals and wished them a blessed Hajj-e-Mabroor.

Hajj pilgrims advised to follow Saudi Arabia guidelines

Mohammed Azharuddin advised the pilgrims to remain devoted to prayers and follow all rules and regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He also requested them to remember Telangana and its people in their prayers during the pilgrimage.

The minister said the Telangana government was committed to ensuring the comfort, safety and welfare of all devotees undertaking the pilgrimage.

According to Azharuddin, the government under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy would continue working for the welfare of minority communities in the state.
