Damodar Raja Narasimha reviews SIR awareness drive with BLAs

Hyderabad: State Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha held an awareness meeting with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) on the Special Intensive Revision process in Sangareddy.

The meeting focused on the ongoing voter list revision exercise in the Andole Assembly constituency.

BLAs from Andole, Vatpally, Pulkal and Choutkur mandals attended the programme at the minister’s residence.

Damodar Raja Narasimha urged BLAs to ensure every eligible citizen enrols as a voter.

He also asked them to identify errors in electoral rolls and facilitate corrections.

Further, he told them to ensure authorities do not remove any eligible voter from the list.

Special Intensive Revision aims for accurate voter rolls

Meanwhile, the minister described voting rights as a cornerstone of democracy.

He called on BLAs to create greater awareness about voting rights among citizens.

Additionally, he asked every agent to gain a clear understanding of the Special Intensive Revision process.

He said BLAs should explain the objectives of the exercise to voters at the grassroots level.

Damodar Raja Narasimha noted that the Election Commission launched the programme to ensure transparent and accurate electoral rolls.

He said Booth Level Agents play a crucial role in making the Special Intensive Revision exercise successful.

Congress leaders, public representatives, BLAs and party workers from the Andole constituency also attended the meeting.
