Hyderabad: Nirmal District Collector Bhavesh Mishra and Khanapur MLA Vedma Bhojju travelled by motorbike to several remote tribal hamlets in Pembi and Kadam mandals to assess local issues and infrastructure gaps.
Accompanied by officials from various departments, they interacted directly with residents and reviewed conditions in the interior habitations.
Villagers highlighted long-pending demands for all-weather roads, three-phase electricity connections and mobile network facilities.
They said several settlements continue to lack basic infrastructure despite decades of habitation.
Remote tribal hamlets seek basic infrastructure
Residents informed the officials that forest conservation regulations had complicated efforts to extend infrastructure facilities to the hamlets.
Meanwhile, Bhavesh Mishra assured villagers that the administration would take immediate steps to improve connectivity.
As an interim measure, authorities are making arrangements to install a mobile tower to address communication problems in the area.
Further, the Collector announced plans to hold a meeting with Forest Department officials.
The meeting will explore solutions to accelerate infrastructure development while complying with environmental and forest protection norms.
Vedma Bhojju and district officials also reviewed local concerns during the visit and assured residents of continued support.
The visit formed part of the administration’s efforts to extend government services and basic amenities to underserved tribal communities.
