BRS accuses Revanth Reddy of political vendetta over Rajesh Exports issue

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan on Friday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of pursuing political vendetta over the Rajesh Exports issue and targeting BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao while allegedly ignoring the role of the Central government.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Sravan said Rajesh Exports had been an internationally recognised company that received approval under the Centre’s Rs 18,100-crore Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.

He also said the company attracted an investment of Rs 600 crore from LIC. Therefore, the then Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company, he added.

Rajesh Exports issue sparks political exchange

Sravan claimed the project never progressed beyond the MoU stage. According to him, the previous BRS government did not allot land, provide incentives or release public funds to the company.

He challenged the Chief Minister to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi if he genuinely believed Rajesh Exports was a fake company.

Furthermore, the BRS leader alleged that the Congress government was attempting to politicise the Rajesh Exports issue instead of focusing on governance and industrial development.

He argued that the decisions taken by the previous government were based on the company’s credentials and approvals received from national institutions and agencies.

Rajesh Exports issue linked to investment debate

Sravan also accused the Congress government of failing to attract major investments into Telangana.

Moreover, he alleged that the administration had shut down the TS-iPASS real-time dashboard and was withholding industrial and employment-related data from the public.

The BRS leader questioned the outcomes of investment agreements signed during the Chief Minister’s visits to Davos.

He demanded that the government release a white paper detailing the investments announced during those visits. In addition, he challenged the Chief Minister to disclose how many of those proposed investments had materialised on the ground.

Sravan further claimed that Telangana recorded significant growth in information technology exports and employment during the BRS administration.

He also alleged that the present government was pushing the State into a debt burden while concentrating on political attacks against the opposition.
