Bhatti Vikramarka approves ₹148 crore for approach roads construction across state

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka approved ₹148 crore for approach roads construction across the state and directed officials to begin pending works immediately.

He said several bridges built three years ago remain unusable due to lack of approach roads, highlighting long-pending delays. Therefore, he asked officials to prioritise these works without delay.

The Infrastructure and Capital Works Cabinet Sub-Committee took the decision at a meeting held at the Secretariat. Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu also attended.

Approach roads construction to be completed across state before monsoon

Bhatti Vikramarka said officials must submit proposals in proper format to speed up approvals. He directed departments to send proposals to the Finance Department in a 1:4 ratio for faster clearance.

Once officials review them, the sub-committee will clear the proposals to ensure quick execution.

Meanwhile, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy set a deadline to complete approach roads construction before June 8. He said the timeline is critical ahead of the monsoon season.

He added that authorities will review progress every week. Authorities will also monitor tendering, execution, and quality standards closely.

Senior officials, including Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, and Special Secretary Krishna Bhaskar, attended the meeting.
