Bhatti Vikramarka urges integrity, service at Group I valedictory

Hyderabad: The Group I officers foundation course for 214 recruits concluded at Dr MCR HRD Institute, with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka urging integrity and public service at the valedictory event.

Addressing the officers, he said completion of training marks the beginning of public service responsibilities. Officers from diverse backgrounds, he noted, now share a common goal of serving people with integrity and dedication.

Drawing from field exposure, he said visits to schools, self-help groups, cooperatives, and tribal areas helped officers understand governance realities. In fact, such interactions offered practical insights into administration.

Group I officers’ foundation course emphasises integrity and service values

The Deputy Chief Minister said policies gain value only through effective implementation. Therefore, welfare schemes and development initiatives succeed when officers translate intent into action.

Meanwhile, while highlighting the role of technology and artificial intelligence, he said human values such as empathy, fairness, and ethical judgment remain central to governance. Moreover, public trust depends on timely services and respectful treatment of citizens.

Further, urging officers to remain value-driven, he advised them to assess decisions with honesty and fairness. At the same time, he encouraged them to contribute to Telangana Rising 2047 through responsible service.

Vice Chairperson and Director General of the institute, Santhi Kumari, presented a report on the Group I officers foundation course. She said the training focused on transparent and people-centric governance.

Additionally, highlighting key components, she cited AI training, school attachments, cooperative visits, and exposure to tribal communities. She also urged officers to uphold constitutional values and support inclusive growth.

During the event, Bhatti Vikramarka presented the DG’s Medal and Rolling Shield to SJDVS Shanmukhka for the best all-around performance. He also distributed medals and certificates to winners and released the course journal.
