Reacting to the incident, Kalvakuntla Kavitha alleged that Telangana Police had cooperated with the Andhra Pradesh Police during the operation. She criticised the police for allegedly preventing the journalist’s wife and children from intervening while officers took him away.

Kavitha also questioned why Telangana Police had not acted against film personalities who allegedly made remarks against Telangana. She alleged that the authorities were targeting Telangana journalists while remaining silent on such statements.
