Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena Chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha urged job aspirants to rely on hard work and honesty during interviews at a Hyderabad job fair. She said there are no shortcuts to success and advised candidates not to make false claims about their skills.
Addressing the event at Kings Palace in Mehdipatnam, Kavitha said around 150 companies participated with the aim of offering nearly 2,000 jobs. She urged companies to recruit candidates based on merit and genuine qualifications.
The job fair attracted engineering, degree and diploma graduates. Candidates who had passed Class 10 also attended. According to Kavitha, employers would offer jobs based on individual qualifications.
Hyderabad job fair focuses on employment opportunities
Calling the first job an important milestone, Kavitha advised candidates to answer interview questions honestly. Instead of giving incorrect answers, she asked them to admit when they did not know something and express their willingness to learn.
Recalling her first job interview in the United States in 2001, she said she admitted that she did not know the answers to some questions. However, she requested 20 days to learn the required skills. She later secured the job after preparing herself.
Meanwhile, Kavitha encouraged young people to use free online platforms such as YouTube to improve their skills. She also noted that nearly 70 percent of students in formal colleges are women. Therefore, she expressed confidence that employment opportunities for women would continue to expand.
Finally, she urged candidates not to lose confidence if they failed to secure a job in their first attempt. Instead, she asked them to keep improving their skills and continue trying.
