Hyderabad: A Hyderabad rain tragedy claimed two lives in Bandlaguda on Tuesday after two men came into contact with live electric wires that had fallen onto a road during heavy rainfall.
The incident occurred in the Old City area amid widespread waterlogging and poor visibility caused by the downpour.

The victims were identified as Jaffer and Abu, both residents of Chandrayangutta.
According to police, the two men got out of an auto-rickshaw and walked onto a road where electric wires had snapped during the rain.
However, they failed to notice the live wires amid the flooded conditions.
As a result, both suffered severe electric shocks and collapsed at the scene.
Local residents rushed to help the victims and alerted the authorities.
Despite rescue efforts, both men succumbed to their injuries.
Meanwhile, police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
Officials from the Electricity Department also visited the spot and began a separate inquiry.
Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the fatal accident.
