Bibi-ka-Alam procession to affect traffic in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police on Thursday announced traffic restrictions and diversions for Friday’s Bibi-ka-Alam procession. The curbs will remain in force from 12 noon to 10 pm across several parts of the Old City.

The restrictions will affect roads passing through Bibi-ka-Alawa, Dabeerpura, Etebar Chowk, Kotla Alija, Charminar, Gulzar House, Nayapul, Miralam Mandi and Chaderghat.

According to Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis, police will divert traffic at various junctions based on the movement of the procession.

Meanwhile, APSRTC and TGSRTC district buses will operate on diverted routes through Afzalgunj and Rang Mahal between 10 am and 9 pm.

Furthermore, traffic police advised motorists to avoid the procession route and use alternative roads wherever possible. They also asked commuters to follow traffic updates issued by the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
