Hyderabad Traffic Police hold meeting with schools on student transport safety

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police held a meeting with school managements to strengthen student transport safety and improve compliance with road safety norms. DCP Traffic-II Kajal Singh, IPS, and officers from Goshamahal Traffic Police attended the meeting.

Police directed schools to conduct mandatory pre-duty breathalyser tests for all school transport drivers. They also instructed managements to prevent overcrowding, rash driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Student transport safety measures discussed with schools

Officials urged schools to promote safe commuting practices among parents and private transport operators. They also instructed managements to ensure staff safely hand over students to parents or guardians at designated drop-off points.

School representatives assured the police of their full cooperation. They also committed to implementing the safety measures with immediate effect.
