Police seize illegal liquor, detain five during CASO in Sanathnagar

Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Sanathnagar on Monday evening, targeting the illegal sale of liquor and ganja consumption in the Patdhiwada and Fathenagar areas. Police launched the operation after receiving specific information about the alleged illegal activities.

Jubilee Hills Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police A. Ramana Reddy supervised the operation. Senior officers and police personnel formed search, cut-off, lifting and holding teams to carry out the drive.

CASO in Sanathnagar targets illegal liquor sale

Police seized 25 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 82 liquor bottles allegedly stocked for illegal sale. They also arrested two people for operating belt shops.

Meanwhile, the H-New Team tested 15 suspects for ganja consumption. Five individuals tested positive, and police took them into custody. Officials have initiated legal proceedings against them under the NDPS Act.

Police also impounded 35 two-wheelers and five three-wheelers that lacked valid documents. Authorities will verify the vehicles as part of the investigation.
