Hyderabad: The Aryadan Muhammed Foundation selected Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the Aryadan Muhammed award for Best Public Servant for 2026. The Foundation instituted the award in memory of late Congress leader and former Kerala minister Aryadan Muhammed.
Foundation working chairman and Nilambur MLA Aryadan Shoukath announced Revanth Reddy’s selection. He said the Foundation chose the Chief Minister for his leadership and welfare initiatives in Telangana. In particular, Shoukath said the initiatives covered farmers, backward classes and other communities in the state.
A selection jury chose Revanth Reddy for the honour. The panel included Congress MP Benny Behanan, Kerala Revenue Minister A.P. Anil Kumar and intellectual Kalpetta Narayanan. According to the Foundation, the jury also commended Revanth Reddy’s commitment to democratic values.
Aryadan Muhammed award ceremony set for Friday
The Foundation will present the Aryadan Muhammed award to Revanth Reddy at Nilambur in Kerala at 4 p.m. on Friday. The ceremony will also mark the fourth death anniversary of Aryadan Muhammed. As part of the honour, Revanth Reddy will receive ₹1 lakh, a citation and a memento.
Meanwhile, AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal will deliver the Aryadan Muhammed memorial lecture at the event. Aryadan Muhammed won election to the Kerala Assembly eight times. In addition, he served as a minister in four different cabinets.
The Foundation remembered him for his public service and administrative work. It also highlighted his commitment to secular values and public welfare.
