Telangana SC Study Circle records UPSC success with 30 candidates clearing prelims

Hyderabad: The Telangana SC Study Circle achieved a major milestone after 30 candidates cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Preliminary Examinations, underscoring the State government’s efforts to expand opportunities for youth from disadvantaged communities.

Announcing the results, Welfare Minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar said the achievement reflected the government’s commitment to social justice, quality education and equal opportunity.

According to the minister, 26 candidates from the Telangana SC Study Circle qualified in the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026. In addition, four candidates cleared the IFoS Preliminary Examination, taking the total number of successful candidates to 30.

He said the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the State’s coaching and mentorship programmes for aspirants from marginalised sections.

Telangana SC Study Circle produces top achievers

The minister highlighted earlier successes recorded by the Telangana SC Study Circle in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. A. Ashish secured All India Rank 676, while D. Praveen Kumar achieved All India Rank 793. Both candidates are likely to receive Indian Police Service allocations.

Similarly, D. Shashank secured All India Rank 78 in the Indian Forest Service Examination. G. Srikanth obtained All India Rank 115. Lakshman Kumar said these achievements brought recognition to Telangana and inspired students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue civil services careers.

Telangana SC Study Circle backed by coaching support

The minister said the State government has been implementing comprehensive coaching programmes for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other socially and economically weaker sections.

These programmes provide specialised coaching, study material, residential facilities, financial assistance and expert guidance. As a result, aspirants are competing successfully in national-level examinations.

Furthermore, he said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has prioritised education, employability and social empowerment. Consequently, talented youth from weaker sections now have greater opportunities to excel in competitive examinations.

Lakshman Kumar also thanked Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for supporting such initiatives through timely financial and institutional assistance.

Telangana SC Study Circle aims for wider success

Congratulating the successful candidates, the minister wished them success in the upcoming Mains examinations. He also praised Telangana SC Study Circle Director Narasimha Reddy, faculty members, mentors and administrative staff for their contribution to the results. Moreover, he commended the students for their discipline, perseverance and determination.

The minister reiterated that the government would continue strengthening coaching and capacity-building programmes to help candidates from SC, ST, BC, Minority and Persons with Disabilities categories succeed in UPSC, IFoS, Group-I, Group-II and other prestigious examinations.

He said empowering youth from historically disadvantaged communities remains essential for social transformation and inclusive governance.
