RTC services resume as the government agrees on the merger and pay scale

The government agreed in principle to merge RTC into the government, addressing a long-pending demand. Further, officials said they will announce final procedures and technical details soon.

Authorities also decided to implement the 2021 pay scale. In addition, they structured the wage revision in a manner acceptable to employees.

The government cleared the revival of employee unions and will hold discussions on conducting recognition elections. Moreover, officials said they will finalise procedures for democratic elections shortly.

The Corporation expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers during the three-day strike. Therefore, it advised commuters to plan their travel as services normalise.
