HILT policy implementation focuses on industry shift and land use
Bhatti Vikramarka said some stakeholders suggested shifting polluting industries beyond the Outer Ring Road to ensure compliance. However, he said the government will proceed after considering all viewpoints.
He stressed coordinated development of lands under the UDL policy with participation from the Centre, the state, and industrial stakeholders. In addition, he welcomed proposals to establish industrial parks between the Outer Ring Road and the Regional Ring Road.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government will not trouble stakeholders and aims to ensure balanced development. Therefore, he called for discussions with industrial associations within the Outer Ring Road to expedite implementation.
Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the government aims to promote industrial growth without pollution. Meanwhile, he said the policy mandates worker dormitories in industrial areas.
Industrial representatives supported the policy and raised concerns over conversion charges. Moreover, they sought more time for implementation and relief in transfer costs for utilities.
Officials directed departments to compile detailed data on vacant, encroached, and available lands across the state. Further, the committee asked the Registration Department to implement revised land market values from the first week of May.
