Hyderabad: Telangana bar timings will remain extended for licensed bars, clubs, tourism hotels and microbreweries in the Telangana Core Urban Region (CURE). The extension covers the FIFA World Cup 2026 third-place play-off and final.
Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise C Hari Kiran issued the orders. He permitted licensed 2B Bars, C1 Clubs, TD1 and TD2 tourism establishments, and microbreweries to operate until 4.30 am. The extension applies to the intervening night of July 18 and 19.
The extended hours will facilitate public viewing of the FIFA World Cup third-place play-off.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner also permitted the same establishments to operate until 3 am. The extension applies to the intervening night of July 19 and 20. It covers the FIFA World Cup final.
Further, the permission applies only to licensed establishments in the Telangana Core Urban Region.
Accordingly, the department directed excise officials in Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, LB Nagar, Qutubullapur and Serilingampally to implement the orders. They must also enforce all applicable excise rules.
