Hyderabad: Police registered a Meerpet rowdy sheeter murder case after assailants hacked history-sheeter Nandanavanam Suri to death within the limits of Meerpet Police Station on Tuesday. According to police, Suri had gone to Nandanavanam to attend the birthday celebration of his second wife’s younger brother. The attack took place during the event.
Meerpet rowdy sheeter murder follows alleged knife attack
Police said Afrooz, the brother of Salman, reached the venue after learning about Suri’s presence. He allegedly sprayed pepper spray into Suri’s eyes. He then attacked Suri repeatedly with a knife. Suri suffered grievous injuries. Doctors declared him dead after he reached a hospital.
Police said Suri faced charges in the murders of his first wife and his brother-in-law Salman. They also said he had multiple criminal cases in the Warangal, Hyderabad and Malkajgiri Commissionerates.
Meanwhile, police said Suri was under a city externment order when the incident occurred. Meerpet Police launched an investigation to establish the circumstances behind the murder and identify everyone involved.
