Man dies after tanker lorry hits bike in Tandur

Hyderabad: A man died in a tanker lorry accident near Hanuman Temple at Srirampuram in Tandur town of Vikarabad district on Thursday night.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Ravi Goud from Thimmaipalli village in Kosgi mandal.

Police said Ravi Goud was travelling on a motorcycle bearing registration number TS 34 H 1978 from Tandur towards Mahabubnagar.

During the journey, a tanker lorry bearing registration number AP 39 UM 2826 allegedly hit the bike. Police said the biker fell onto the road and the tanker ran over him.

Tanker lorry accident kills biker on spot

Officials stated that Ravi Goud died on the spot in the lorry accident.

After receiving information, police rushed to the accident site and took the tanker lorry driver into custody.

Police also seized the tanker vehicle as part of the investigation.

Authorities shifted the body to the district hospital for postmortem examination.

Police registered a case in connection with the lorry accident and started an investigation into the incident.

Officials are examining the circumstances that led to the collision near Srirampuram Hanuman Temple in Tandur town.
