Commissioner reviews civic issues during Bachupally ward visit

Hyderabad: The Commissioner conducted a Bachupally ward visit on Thursday as part of the “One Ward Every Day” field inspection programme in Quthbullapur Zone under Nizampet Circle.

During the visit, the Commissioner interacted with resident welfare associations and local residents to understand civic issues and assess ground conditions in the locality.

Officials discussed encroachments along Gokaraju Rangaraju Road that were affecting public movement. They also reviewed concerns related to graveyard maintenance and associated civic facilities.

The Commissioner further examined the need for a more structured approach to the transfer station in the area. Residents also raised mosquito nuisance and sanitation concerns during the interaction.

As part of the sanitation review, officials inspected household waste segregation practices across the ward.

The Commissioner also assessed the functioning of sewage treatment plants and the overall waste handling system in the locality.

Moreover, officials discussed the implementation of SWM Rules 2026 and measures to improve bulk waste collection systems.
