Sridhar Babu warns against negligence in Indiramma housing

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Thursday warned officials against Indiramma housing negligence and directed strict adherence to targets.

He said the government would not tolerate lapses in implementing the Indiramma Housing Scheme. He instructed officials to ensure steady progress in line with government targets.

The Minister said authorities must complete construction of 3,500 houses per Assembly constituency every year. He added that beneficiaries should receive houses without delay.

Indiramma housing negligence warning at review meeting

Sridhar Babu spoke at a review meeting held at the State Housing Corporation office in Himayatnagar. The meeting assessed progress across 13 Assembly constituencies of the erstwhile Karimnagar district.

Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy chaired the meeting. Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Laxman Kumar attended along with MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and senior officials.

The Minister directed officials to resolve issues raised by public representatives quickly. He said departments must address forest land issues without delay.

Indiramma housing negligence may delay construction

Sridhar Babu stressed that forest clearances should not slow down housing works. Therefore, he asked departments to act promptly.

He urged district collectors to use discretionary powers to resolve land and compensation issues. He also called for better coordination among departments at the field level.

The Minister advised officials to adopt a humanitarian approach instead of delaying cases due to procedures. Moreover, he asked them to monitor progress regularly.

He issued a stern warning that officials who fail to meet targets will face action. He reiterated that the government expects timely completion of all housing works.
