Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha on Saturday reviewed preparations for the inauguration of the Sanathnagar TIMS Hospital. He directed officials to complete all pending works before Chief Minister Revanth Reddy opens the facility to the public.
The Minister conducted a detailed inspection of the hospital. He assessed the readiness of various departments and facilities.
He visited Blocks A, B and C. He reviewed the outpatient registration area, inpatient wards, emergency department, intensive care units and operation theatres. He also inspected diagnostic centres and support services.
Raja Narasimha examined CT scan and MRI facilities, laboratories, blood bank services and mechanised laundry systems. He also reviewed the centralised kitchen and pharmacy units. The Minister assessed the functioning of advanced medical equipment and suggested measures to improve operational readiness.
He instructed Roads and Buildings Department and Health Department officials to complete the remaining works on priority. He directed them to ensure uninterrupted water supply, power supply, sanitation, security and fire safety systems before the inauguration.
Sanathnagar TIMS Hospital to offer advanced healthcare services
Raja Narasimha directed officials to strengthen arrangements at outpatient counters, registration centres, help desks, pharmacies and patient waiting areas.
He also instructed authorities to deploy adequate numbers of doctors, technicians and support staff. He said all medical equipment must remain fully operational from the first day of service.
The Minister said the Sanathnagar TIMS Hospital is being developed in line with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision. The goal is to provide corporate-standard super-specialty healthcare services to economically weaker sections.
He directed officials to establish the institution as a leading healthcare centre. The hospital should deliver world-class treatment and advanced medical services.
Raja Narasimha also asked authorities to improve facilities for patients and attendants. Planned amenities include a Dharmashala, canteens, parking facilities, hostel blocks and other support infrastructure.
The Minister further reviewed hospital administration, medical services, human resources, non-medical operations, security arrangements and sanitation standards. He later issued additional directions to officials.
Health Department Principal Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, Director of Medical Education Narendra Kumar, NIMS Director Beerappa, senior officials from the Roads and Buildings and Health departments, and representatives of the construction firm attended the review meeting.
