Hyderabad: Former minister and MLA Sabita Indra Reddy accused the government of neglecting farmers during paddy procurement operations. She said paddy procurement delays pushed farmers into severe hardship across several areas.
Sabita Indra Reddy inspected a paddy procurement centre at Thunkimetla in Bomraspet mandal of Vikarabad district. During the visit, she alleged that the government completely failed in handling procurement operations.
She said farmers’ conditions worsened after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assumed office. According to her, rains damaged harvested paddy and caused sprouting in grain stocks.
