Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka attended the VD Satheesan swearing-in ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.
The two leaders travelled on a special flight to Kerala for the event at the Central Stadium. There, Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office to VD Satheesan and his 20-member Cabinet.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge attended the ceremony. Senior party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the MP from Wayanad, were also present.
In addition, Chief Ministers from Congress-ruled states attended the event. Former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Left party leaders and BJP representatives also joined the gathering.

In a post on X, Revanth Reddy said the gathering in Kerala felt like a meeting of friends and colleagues during the celebrations.
The Chief Minister also shared a group photograph featuring Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar. Bhatti Vikramarka also appeared in the photograph.
Furthermore, Revanth Reddy said the atmosphere carried hope, enthusiasm and energy. He added that Congress leaders would work together towards the goal of seeing Rahul Gandhi take oath as Prime Minister.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of senior political leaders from different parties. Meanwhile, leaders from the Congress, Left parties and BJP attended the public event in Thiruvananthapuram.
Officials said VD Satheesan took oath along with a 20-member Cabinet. Consequently, the new Kerala government officially assumed office.
