Hyderabad: BRS Working President KTR challenged Revanth Reddy over the Congress government’s fake promises. He said BRS MLAs and MLCs would voluntarily face arrest if the government implemented all the promises.
KTR made the remarks while reacting strongly to the arrests of BRS MLCs Tata Madhu and Naveen Kumar Reddy. He criticised the Congress government for failing to implement its six guarantees and fake promises.
According to KTR, the government had completed 1,000 days without delivering on its commitments. He alleged that arrests and illegal detentions were among its main achievements during this period.
KTR said all BRS MLAs and MLCs were ready to voluntarily surrender for arrest if the promises were implemented. He then challenged the chief minister to demonstrate whether the government was ready to fulfil those commitments.
The BRS working president also raised the issue of alleged attacks on party leaders. He demanded details of the action taken against those accused of pulling the sarees of BRS MLAs Sabitha and Sunitha.
KTR questioned the government’s claim of respecting women while seeking an account of the action taken over the alleged incident. He said the government should explain what steps it had taken against those responsible.
The BRS leader also referred to the High Court’s observations made the previous day. He questioned the arrests of Tata Madhu and Naveen Reddy despite what he described as clear directions from the court.
KTR challenges Revanth over arrests of BRS leaders
KTR alleged that authorities deliberately filed false cases before arresting Tata Madhu and Naveen Reddy. He said the arrests showed the government’s alleged lack of respect for courts and the law.
Meanwhile, KTR accused the Congress government of using diversionary politics. He said people were watching the government’s actions and would judge its performance.
The BRS working president reiterated his challenge over the fake promises. He maintained that BRS legislators would voluntarily face arrest if the Congress government fulfilled the commitments.
KTR’s remarks came amid the political dispute surrounding the arrests of Tata Madhu and Naveen Reddy. He linked the issue to the Congress government’s record on its election commitments and its treatment of BRS leaders.
The BRS leader also questioned the government’s handling of issues involving women. He demanded accountability over the alleged incidents involving Sabitha and Sunitha.
