Rain cancels tomorrow’s Khammam Sabha, CM to release Rythu Bharosa in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Heavy rain has forced the Telangana government to cancel Tuesday’s farmers’ meeting in Khammam district. The **Rythu Bharosa event** will now take place at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, where Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will release the Rythu Bharosa funds on Tuesday evening.

The government had planned to organise the farmers’ meeting at Jagannathapuram in Chintakani mandal of Madhira Assembly constituency. The Chief Minister was scheduled to launch the financial assistance and address a large public gathering.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy had personally supervised the preparations. The organisers expected nearly one lakh farmers to attend the programme.

Rythu Bharosa event shifted after heavy rain

However, continuous rainfall over the past two days inundated the meeting venue. District officials informed the Chief Minister’s Office that they could not conduct the programme under the prevailing conditions.

Consequently, the government cancelled the Khammam Sabha and shifted the event to Hyderabad. The Chief Minister directed ministers and officials to complete all arrangements at Shilpakala Vedika.

Meanwhile, farmers from all districts will participate in the programme through their respective Rythu Vedikas across Telangana while the Chief Minister releases the Rythu Bharosa assistance from Hyderabad.
