Hyderabad: Munugode MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy reviewed Pullemla village development works during a morning walk through the village in Chandur mandal. He also inspected huts occupied by poor families and examined pending Indiramma housing allotments.
The MLA walked through several streets and sought details about civic and infrastructure problems. Local leaders, mandal officials, village officers and residents accompanied him during the inspection.
Raj Gopal Reddy first examined the proposed road-widening stretch within Pullemla village limits. The road expansion formed part of ongoing development works between Idikuda and Teratipalli villages.
He asked officials to identify how many houses would face partial damage during the widening. Moreover, he sought details of houses that could face complete demolition because of the project.
The MLA also inspected an Anganwadi building, a primary sub-health centre, a gram panchayat building and a community hall under construction. He directed his staff to prepare estimates for completing the remaining works.
Officials and local representatives also discussed sanctions and tenders for roads connecting Pullemla with nearby villages. Raj Gopal Reddy assured residents that authorities would improve connecting roads, internal roads and drainage facilities.
Pullemla village development includes housing review
As part of the Pullemla village development inspection, the MLA visited huts occupied by economically weaker families. He examined their living conditions and asked local leaders and mandal officials about Indiramma housing sanctions.
Raj Gopal Reddy directed Housing Department officials to identify genuinely poor families whose applications remained pending because of technical issues. He asked them to prepare a separate list of such beneficiaries.
He later inaugurated a newly constructed Indiramma house in the village. The MLA also reviewed whether eligible families had received housing allotments under the programme. During the visit, residents raised concerns over basic amenities and unfinished public works. Therefore, he asked local leaders to bring all required village projects to his attention.
Pullemla village development needs public-use land
Raj Gopal Reddy also inspected the government high school in Pullemla. He found that the existing classrooms lacked adequate space for effective teaching. The MLA then asked local leaders to identify land for a new school building and a spacious playground. Residents informed him that the Endowments Department owned 26 acres in the village.
Raj Gopal Reddy immediately telephoned Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao. He requested the allocation of Endowments Department land for schools and other public-use buildings in the Munugode constituency.
He said authorities should allot land for structures that served residents and improved public access to essential facilities. The request also covered buildings planned for the convenience of local communities.
While walking through the village lanes, the MLA continued to hear complaints from residents. He assured them that officials would examine the issues and take steps to resolve them.
The Pullemla village development visit covered road widening, housing, school infrastructure, health facilities, drainage, internal roads and unfinished public buildings. Chandur mandal leaders, officials from different departments, village-level officers, local representatives and residents participated in the morning walk programme.
