Hyderabad: A borewell mechanic died after suffering an electric shock in Chandur electric shock incident at Pullemla village in Nalgonda district on Thursday. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Sheikh Syed, son of Madar Saab.
According to villagers, Sheikh Syed was a borewell motor mechanic from Lakinenigudem in Chandur Municipality’s third ward. He had gone to Pullemla village to repair a borewell motor belonging to a local resident, Baddula Swamy.
Chandur electric shock incident occurred during repair work
During the repair work, electric shock incident occurred when the mechanic reportedly came into contact with a live electrical source. People at the spot shifted him to the Nalgonda Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance.
Doctors examined Sheikh Syed and declared him dead on arrival. The incident cast a pall of gloom over his native area and Pullemla village.
