Peddapalli MP Vamsi Krishna promises Temple City development for Dharmapuri, Kotilingala

Hyderabad: Congress Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna laid foundation stones for development works worth ₹20 lakh in Dharmaram mandal on Saturday. He also pledged to pursue Temple City development for the historic temple towns of Dharmapuri and Kotilingala.

The projects include borewells, cement concrete roads and drainage systems. The MP directed officials to complete the works at the earliest.

Temple City development to boost tourism

Vamsi Krishna highlighted the historical and spiritual importance of the ancient Dharmapuri and Kotilingala temples. Accordingly, he said he would work with both the Central and Telangana governments to develop the region into a major Temple City and tourist destination.

He said the initiative would promote tourism and improve infrastructure in the temple region.

Temple City development discussed alongside political issues

The MP criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the programme. He alleged large-scale corruption in the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Moreover, he accused the party of using Lord Rama’s name for political gain.

Vamsi Krishna also alleged that Central agencies, including the CBI, ED and ACB, were targeting opposition leaders. In addition, he claimed efforts were underway to lure MPs from other parties to strengthen the BJP’s numbers in Parliament.

The MP said he would raise Telangana’s pending issues during the upcoming Parliament session, which begins on Monday. Specifically, he said he would press for central funds, protection of the state’s rights and approval of key development projects.
