Hyderabad: State Labour and Mines Minister Dr. Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy launched Narsapur development works worth ₹15 crore in Medak district on Saturday.
The Minister laid the foundation stone for multiple projects in Narsapur Municipality. He said a special municipal meeting had been convened to implement a structured development plan.
During the visit, the Minister toured several areas in the municipality. Narsapur MLA Sunitha Laxma Reddy, MLC Anjireddy, District Collector Pratima Singh, and Municipal Chairperson Lakshmi Raj Yadav attended the programme.
As part of the schedule, he participated in housewarming ceremonies under the Indiramma housing scheme. The events were held in Wards 4 and 6. The Minister inaugurated houses along with beneficiaries, including Duddala Durgamma and Mohammed Shakeera Begum.
Later, he visited Narayanpur village and launched the “Badibata” school enrolment drive. The initiative formed part of the 99-day Praja Palana Pragati programme. He said government schools were providing free and quality education.
Addressing a gathering, the Minister said public welfare remained the government’s primary objective. He asked officials to ensure benefits reached all sections without political bias.
He also directed representatives to identify and resolve drinking water issues during the summer. Moreover, he stressed regular engagement with residents and a service-oriented approach.
The Minister said elected representatives must work responsibly and coordinate with officials. He added that the government was taking steps to strengthen the education system.
Tahsildars, district officials, public representatives, and local leaders attended the programme.
