Hyderabad: The Cyberabad NDPS crackdown led to 91 cases and the arrest of 209 accused between January 1 and March 31, 2026, officials said.
During the period, enforcement teams seized narcotic drugs worth Rs. 2.29 crore. The action was carried out jointly by Cyberabad enforcement units and law and order police.
Officials reported that ganja formed the bulk of seizures. Police booked 62 cases and confiscated 333.159 kilograms of ganja, valued at over Rs. 1.62 crore. Additionally, one case involved ganja chocolates weighing 33 kilograms.
Meanwhile, three cases related to ganja plants led to the seizure of four plants. Authorities also registered nine cases involving MDMA and seized 105.144 grams.
Furthermore, officers detected one case of LSD papers, seizing 33 units. Eight cases involved hashish oil, with a total seizure of 4.311 litres.
In separate operations, police registered three cases of heroin or morphine, recovering 32.79 grams. Two cases involved opium mixed powder, with 3,512 grams seized.
Additionally, two cases related to OG Kush resulted in the seizure of 76.01 grams.
Cyberabad NDPS crackdown highlights drug seizures
The Cyberabad NDPS crackdown reflected intensified enforcement against both conventional and synthetic drugs. Officials said intelligence-led operations and coordinated action enabled the seizures and arrests.
Authorities stated that efforts would continue to curb drug trafficking and abuse. They also urged citizens to share credible information to support enforcement measures.
Police provided contact numbers for reporting drug-related activities in Serilingampally, Kukatpally, and Quthbullapur zones.
