Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) law admissions for the 2026-27 academic year have begun for LLB, BA LLB, LLM and PhD programmes at the university’s Law School.
The university fixed May 1, 2026, as the last date for submitting applications for entrance-based admissions.
Law School Dean Prof Tabrez Ahmad said the university was offering a five-year BA LLB course, a three-year LLB course, a one-year LLM programme and a PhD research programme.
He said the university had also introduced two new PG Diploma programmes this year. The courses include Alternative Dispute Resolution and Cyber Law and Digital Governance.
MANUU law admissions include new diploma courses
The Hyderabad campus offers 60 seats in the BA LLB programme. The university also allotted 60 seats for the LLB course at the same campus.
The university made 30 seats available for the LLM course in Hyderabad and another 30 seats in Darbhanga, Bihar.
Each PG Diploma course offers 20 seats each at the Hyderabad and Darbhanga campuses. The university will admit 10 students into the PhD programme at the Hyderabad campus.
The university said applicants must have studied Urdu either as a medium of instruction or as a language subject in Class 10, Intermediate or Graduation.
Officials said the university launched the LLB programme three years ago after Urdu-medium legal education had ended at Osmania University 74 years earlier.
The university fixed June 10 as the last date for admissions based on merit.
Officials said the university was also offering LLM programmes at both Hyderabad and Darbhanga campuses. Hostel facilities are available for students at both campuses.
