Mahila Shakti Canteen inspected by Bhatti Vikramarka at TGSPDCL headquarters

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka inspected the newly established Mahila Shakti Canteen at the TGSPDCL headquarters in Mint Compound on Thursday and reviewed the facilities created for employees.

During the visit, Bhatti Vikramarka interacted with TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil and sought details about the expenditure incurred on setting up the canteen. He also reviewed the amenities and infrastructure provided for employees and visitors.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government was promoting the Mahila Shakti Canteen initiative to strengthen the economic self-reliance of women self-help groups while ensuring access to hygienic food for employees.

Bhatti Vikramarka interacted with the canteen management and advised them to provide quality and tasty food at affordable prices.

He stressed that employees and visitors should consistently receive hygienic meals and refreshments at reasonable rates. Subsequently, he examined the menu board and price list displayed at the facility.

The Deputy Chief Minister said such initiatives create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women while also improving workplace facilities for government employees.

Mahila Shakti Canteen aims to provide affordable food

Officials briefed the Deputy Chief Minister on the services offered at the canteen and the arrangements made for staff members working at the TGSPDCL headquarters. The government has been encouraging similar facilities to promote women-led enterprises and improve access to affordable food in public institutions.

Singareni CMD Jyoti Buddha Prakash, TGSPDCL Directors Chakrapani, Shivaji and Narasimha, along with other officials, attended the programme.
