Hyderabad: PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said law would take its course in the POCSO case involving Bandi Bhageerath and asserted that authorities were acting according to legal procedure.
Speaking during a media chit-chat on Wednesday, Mahesh Kumar Goud said police should arrest accused persons immediately after allegations emerge in POCSO cases.
He warned that authorities would face problems if they failed to follow the law.
The PCC chief said reports suggested that Bandi Bhageerath was absconding.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was a committed Congress leader and clarified that there was no delay in the investigation.
He said the Congress party introduced the POCSO Act and had no intention of protecting anyone involved in the case.
The PCC chief added that he did not believe the accused had fled abroad.
Mahesh Kumar Goud also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying Telangana did not receive expected support during the visit.
He alleged that the BJP was facing internal group conflicts that were more severe than those in the Congress.
The PCC chief said the Congress party would continue its fight until the victim received justice.
Mahesh Kumar Goud also commented on state politics, crop procurement and BJP activities in other states during the media interaction.
