Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched the Telangana Rakshana Trade Union on Friday and unveiled its official logo. She said the organisation would protect the rights and welfare of workers across Telangana.
Kavitha said her party stood with workers. Moreover, she said the party would run a worker-friendly government if it came to power.
She said her party created the trade union to protect labourers. However, she alleged that some forces were trying to weaken labour laws and trade union rights across the country. She also accused governments of exploiting workers while favouring private interests.

Further, Kavitha said her party would not allow injustice to workers, employees, or teachers under any circumstances. She dedicated the Telangana Rakshana Trade Union to the state’s working community.
She criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over minimum wages. According to her, he wrote to then Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao as Malkajgiri MP seeking a minimum wage of ₹20,000 for workers in scheduled industries. She alleged that, after becoming Chief Minister, he now offered only ₹16,000.
Meanwhile, Kavitha accused the state government of targeting auto-rickshaw drivers. She alleged that police hid in different locations and issued challans to drivers as though they were criminals. She claimed many drivers earned only enough each day to pay those penalties.
Finally, Kavitha said the country could progress only when private sector employees, workers, and government employees lived and worked with dignity. She said their welfare remained essential for national development.
