Hyderabad: HYDRAA said it fenced government land in Survey No. 59 at Kondapur only after receiving a request and official information from revenue authorities. The agency stated that it acted within the boundaries identified by revenue officials and did not enter Survey No. 60.
The clarification came after reports emerged about a court case filed by P. Sudharani, who alleged that HYDRAA and revenue officials had demolished the compound wall of her 350-square-yard plot in Survey No. 60. HYDRAA said the woman had neither approached the agency nor filed any complaint before or after the anti-encroachment exercise.
According to the agency, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tahsildar, surveyors and Revenue Inspectors supervised the fencing work. Police also provided security during the operation. Moreover, HYDRAA said it fenced nearly 19 acres identified as government land in Survey No. 59 based on the High Court judgment and the information provided by revenue officials.

HYDRAA said it followed only the limits marked by revenue authorities and made no independent decisions while carrying out the fencing. Therefore, it rejected claims that its operation extended beyond the notified boundaries.
The agency also removed a temporary shed where plastic waste and garbage had accumulated inside Survey No. 59. In addition, it cleared the plastic waste to protect the government land and improve the surroundings.
HYDRAA reiterated that its action remained confined to Survey No. 59 throughout the exercise. It maintained that no personnel entered Survey No. 60 and that all activities were conducted strictly in the presence of revenue officials and within the boundaries fixed by them.
