Revanth Reddy orders Erravalli land survey to trace 45 acres missing in Survey No. 325

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to immediately issue a survey notification to trace 45 acres of land whose records are not available, within the limits of Erravalli in Markook Mandal of Siddipet District and Shivaru Venkatapuram villages. The order came after officials reported that a recent survey of Survey Number 325 in Erravalli village found only 343 acres on the ground, against 388 acres shown in the records.

Officials said the gap between the recorded land and the land actually present stands at 45 acres. As lands belonging to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family members lie near Survey Number 325, they said notices will be issued asking them to submit their land records.

The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of an inquiry into these lands at the MCR HRD Body Pavilion. He had ordered the inquiry during a discussion on 22 issues in the Legislative Assembly on the 16th of last month.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, CMO Chief Secretary Seshadri, members of the committee formed to inquire into land encroachments and members of the committee set up to probe Dharani irregularities attended the review. The committee members briefed the Chief Minister on how far the inquiry has progressed.

Revanth Reddy directed officials to issue a notification for a survey in Erravalli and Shivaru Venkatapuram villages to establish the status of the 45 acres. He also instructed that the land identified in Survey Number 325 be distributed among eligible local farmers.

Martyrs’ colony to be ready by June 2

The Chief Minister ordered the construction of a “Telangana Amaraveerula Colony” for the families of those who died as martyrs in the Telangana movement. He suggested allotting house sites to these families and developing the colony with all required basic amenities.

He directed that the Housing Department be given charge of building the colony and that steps be taken to complete it by June 2. Revanth Reddy also suggested setting up an Education Hub along with the Young India Integrated School (YIIRS) on the remaining lands within Velikatta village limits in Kondapak Mandal, leaving out unassigned lands and Mission Bhagiratha lands.

Citing El Niño conditions, the Chief Minister advised officials to use water from reservoirs and tanks judiciously. He directed them to identify those drawing Mallanna Sagar water without authorisation and take appropriate action against them.
