Interstate ganja trafficking linked to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha
According to the investigation, the accused allegedly transported ganja from agency areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to Maharashtra on a commission basis for the past six months.
Police said the group bought the latest consignment from a supplier in the Araku region. They then travelled by train to Hyderabad and planned to board a private bus to Maharashtra with the contraband.
However, acting on a tip-off, the Charminar Zone Task Force intercepted the accused near Haj House before they could leave the city.
