Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police arrested six people and seized 8.410 kg of dry ganja during a joint operation conducted by the Attapur Police Station and the Rajendranagar Special Operations Team (SOT) against an alleged drug trafficking network.
Police identified one of the arrested men as the main peddler. They also identified another key supplier, who remains absconding. The accused allegedly engaged in the illegal transportation, storage and sale of ganja in Hyderabad.
During the operation, officers recovered 8.410 kg of dry ganja, a motorcycle, three weighing machines, a poly sealing machine, packing covers and mobile phones. Investigators said the main accused allegedly procured ganja from Nagpur in Maharashtra and transported it to Hyderabad for distribution through a sub-peddler in small packets.

Police said the remaining accused had arrived to purchase ganja from the main peddler. Investigators are continuing efforts to trace and arrest the absconding supplier.
The operation took place under the supervision of Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand IPS. Rajendranagar Zone DCP S. Srinivas IPS, Rajendranagar ACP T. Srinivas and Attapur Inspector A. Seethaiah led the operation.
Police produced the arrested accused before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody. Senior officers also commended the police team for successfully detecting the case.
