Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla urged engineering graduates to become job creators instead of job seekers, saying India’s progress depends on the innovation, leadership and entrepreneurial spirit of its youth.
The Governor delivered the convocation address at the sixth Graduation Day ceremony of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) in Gandipet on Wednesday. He said graduation marked the beginning of a lifelong responsibility to contribute to nation-building rather than the end of academic learning.
Shukla encouraged students to work towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He asked graduates to use their technical knowledge to generate employment and develop practical solutions for society.
The Governor described Hyderabad as one of India’s leading hubs for technology, innovation, startups, aerospace and biopharmaceutical industries. He said the city’s ecosystem offered young professionals excellent opportunities to build successful careers and businesses.
He also advised graduates to uphold integrity, discipline and lifelong learning throughout their professional lives. In addition, he urged them to maintain high ethical standards while serving society.
