Fuel supply Telangana exceeds demand, no shortage: Civil Supplies Commissioner

Hyderabad: Fuel availability in Telangana remained adequate with petrol and diesel supply exceeding daily demand, Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra said.

He stated that on the 27th, authorities supplied 29,939 kilolitres of fuel, which exceeded normal consumption levels. On average, the state records a daily demand of 5,883 kilolitres of petrol and 7,348 kilolitres of diesel.

However, supply on the day rose significantly above these figures. Officials delivered 11,490 kilolitres of petrol and 18,449 kilolitres of diesel to consumers, ensuring uninterrupted availability.

Authorities continue to monitor distribution through field-level officers and coordination with petroleum company representatives. This ongoing review aims to prevent disruptions and maintain steady availability across districts.

Meanwhile, the commissioner urged consumers not to hoard petrol or diesel based on rumours. He said sufficient stock remains available and advised the public to avoid panic buying.
