Eatala Rajender targets Congress government over farmers, power and Singareni

Hyderabad: BJP MP Eatala Rajender accused the Telangana Congress government of focusing on politics instead of addressing farmers’ irrigation needs. Speaking to reporters at NTPC Ramagundam on Wednesday, he also raised concerns over Singareni and the state’s power supply.

Eatala Rajender alleged that the Congress government was attempting to sell off Singareni. He also criticised the state’s electricity situation and said consumers could not predict when power would remain available or face outages.

The BJP MP demanded that the government immediately focus on farmers’ problems. He said weather changes had created conditions that could affect crops due to inadequate water availability.

Rajender urged the government to keep politics away from irrigation decisions. Farmers needed both water and electricity to cultivate their crops, he said.

He also called for immediate measures to address farmers’ difficulties. According to Eatala Rajender, the government should prioritise solutions to their problems instead of political issues.

Eatala Rajender raises concerns over Singareni and power supply

Eatala Rajender questioned the government’s approach towards Singareni, which he described as economically and industrially important to Telangana. He alleged that the Congress government was looking to sell the organisation.

He said the government had a responsibility to protect Singareni’s interests and the future of its workers. Eatala Rajender also sought clarity on coal production, power generation and worker welfare.

The BJP MP also criticised the government over power cuts in the state. He questioned the availability of uninterrupted electricity for the agriculture sector.

Meanwhile, Eatala Rajender referred to a recent review of the power sector. During that meeting, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to take steps to operate the Yadadri Thermal Power Station at full capacity before Dasara.

He alleged that the government had failed to resolve public issues, farmers’ difficulties and problems faced by employees and workers. He demanded answers on key issues affecting the public.

Former MLA Bodige Shobha, BJP Ramagundam in-charge Kandula Sandhyarani, Yadagiri Sattaiah and Bhaskar Reddy attended the press conference.
