Revanth Reddy congratulates Chikita Taniparthi, Sahil Jadhav on Asian Games gold

Hyderabad: Chikita Taniparthi won gold in mixed compound archery at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan and qualified for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated Chikita and her mixed-team partner Sahil Jadhav on their achievement.

The Chief Minister praised Chikita for bringing recognition to Telangana through her performances at the Asian Games. He noted that she had won two gold medals on the same day.

Chikita, who hails from Peddapalli, also won gold in the compound women’s team event. She then teamed up with Sahil Jadhav in the mixed team event and defeated South Korea to secure another gold medal.

Revanth Reddy described Chikita’s achievement as a matter of pride for Telangana. He also appreciated her parents and coaches for identifying her talent and supporting her sporting career.

The Chief Minister said Chikita’s name would remain part of Telangana’s sporting history following her two gold medals. Her success in both team events added to her achievements at the Asian Games.

The Chief Minister also extended his congratulations to Sahil Jadhav for his contribution to the mixed-team gold medal. The pair secured the gold after their victory over South Korea.
