Telangana prioritising investments from Korean companies, says Bhatti

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana government is prioritising investments from South Korean companies. The focus is on job creation, technology transfer and skill development among youth, he said.

Vikramarka spoke at the K-Harmony Festa–Korea Culture Day 2026 at Shilpakala Vedika here on Sunday. He recalled the investment discussions held during Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit to South Korea in August 2024. According to him, these talks had laid the foundation for economic cooperation between Telangana and South Korea. He said the state government would work to strengthen the partnership further, attract more investments and expand employment opportunities.

Telangana offers scope for Korean companies in key sectors

Vikramarka said Telangana offers significant opportunities for collaboration with Korean companies. According to him, these lie in sectors such as electronics, electric vehicles, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, renewable energy and emerging technologies.

He observed that Telangana has much to learn from South Korea’s economic progress. Sustained investments in education, skill development, infrastructure and technology played a crucial role in that country’s development, he noted.

The Deputy Chief Minister also stressed the need for stronger cooperation among industries, universities, research institutions, startups and small enterprises. Such cooperation would promote innovation, technology exchange and economic growth, he said.
