Hyderabad: Director General of Police C.V. Anand visited the Telangana Police Academy at Himayatsagar and reviewed its training infrastructure, facilities and ongoing programmes.
The DGP toured the 140-acre campus and assessed operational requirements and maintenance challenges.
During the visit, he interacted with 570 OCTOPUS and Greyhounds personnel undergoing transformational training.
He also met 112 DSP probationers and officers from various ranks attending training programmes.
Telangana Police Academy training programmes reviewed
The DGP reviewed a detailed presentation by academy director Abhilasha Bisht and other officials.
The presentation covered training courses, institutional achievements and challenges faced by the institution.
Officials also briefed him on manpower requirements and budget-related issues.
C.V. Anand described the academy as one of the country’s premier police training institutions.
He stressed the importance of case-study-based learning and regular exposure to new laws and landmark court judgments.
The DGP also encouraged officers at all levels to participate in training sessions and share their field experiences with trainees.
