Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy honoured police medal winners who excelled in national and international sports events at his office on Monday.
He felicitated officers who secured medals in different competitions and brought recognition to the state police. Moreover, he praised their performance and encouraged them to aim higher.
Among them, DSP and boxer Nikhat Zareen secured a bronze medal at an international boxing championship held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from the 2nd to the 12th of this month. She delivered a strong performance at the event and, as a result, added another medal to her record.

The DGP congratulated Nikhat Zareen and said she should continue to scale greater heights. He also expressed hope that she would bring more laurels to the country.
In addition, Telangana police personnel performed strongly at the 25th All India Police Water Sports Cluster held in Dehradun and Tehri Lake in Uttarakhand from the 8th to 12th of this month.
Head Constable N. Ramakrishna from 1st Battalion TGSP and Police Constable J. Raju from Siddipet CAR won a silver medal in the rowing coxless pair 500 metres category. Consequently, they secured national recognition.
The DGP honoured these winners and appreciated their achievements. Furthermore, he said their success brought pride to the state police and would inspire others in the force.
