Rythu Bharosa funds released by Revanth Reddy to 40 lakh farmers

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy released Rythu Bharosa funds to 40 lakh farmers, crediting Rs 2,200 crore to their accounts under the state’s investment support scheme.

At Nasturupalli village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, he attended Rythu Utsavams as part of the Prajapalana–Pragati Pranalika programme. Earlier, he joined farmers in a rally. Later, he launched the fund transfer at a public meeting by pressing a button.

So far, the government has released Rs 5,700 crore under the scheme. Meanwhile, he said another Rs 3,300 crore will be released next month.

Rythu Bharosa funds strengthen farmer support measures

Addressing the gathering, he said farmers form the backbone of the country. Therefore, the government has taken responsibility to support them. He outlined welfare steps aimed at strengthening agriculture.

Referring to loan waiver commitments, he said the government waived crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh for 25.35 lakh farmers within a year. In addition, he said the government earlier released Rs 9,000 crore within nine days.

He said the government aims to make agriculture viable and rewarding. At the same time, irrigation projects are progressing to support farming activity.

Among those present were ministers Thummala Nageswara Rao, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dansari Anasuya Seethakka, Adluri Laxman Kumar and G. Vivek Venkataswamy, along with other public representatives.

Earlier, he laid the foundation stone for a high-level bridge over the Maneru River between the Arenda and Damerakunta villages, for Rs 203 crore.
