Dasoju Sravan criticises Revanth over employee remarks

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan on Friday criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his reported remarks urging government employees to work an extra hour each day. Sravan alleged that the Congress government lacked administrative vision and was shifting the burden of revenue generation onto employees.

Responding to the Chief Minister’s comments, Sravan said extending office hours would not improve governance. He argued that revenue growth depended on sound policies, efficient implementation, institutional reforms and effective leadership rather than longer working hours.

Revanth employee remarks trigger criticism

Sravan alleged that the Congress government had pushed Telangana into financial difficulties through corruption, poor policy decisions and weak governance. He claimed the administration had failed to create sustainable revenue through economic growth and investment.

Furthermore, he accused the government of encouraging arbitrary governance, illegal demolitions, excessive policing and policy confusion. According to him, these factors had weakened administrative efficiency and created instability within the government.

Revanth employee remarks linked to fiscal issues

The BRS leader questioned the government’s “Rising Telangana” narrative and asked why the state continued to face revenue deficits and rising debt. He urged the Chief Minister to examine the reasons behind Telangana’s financial challenges instead of blaming employees.

Sravan also alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil several promises after assuming office. He urged the Chief Minister to focus on governance and implementation rather than publicity. He also called for fiscal discipline, transparency and investment to strengthen the state’s economy.
